You too might know him. :p - .:: ROSH ::. said...

"Enakku Bush-e nalla theriyum! aanaa avarukku enne theriyaathu"..lol..
PS; xcuse my tamil :)) - theworldofb said...
-
My take on that would be -
"Bush pakkathule irunthu and naan kanadi potundu patha naal theriyum illa na mangala theriyum"...
(literally translated as - If Bush is near by and I am wearing my glasses on then I would see him or else he will appear hazy to me)... :))

B..Gr8 Eye.
This is nice, could look even better if u 'crop' to make a perfect frame. - theworldofb said...

K, ML, O - Ty.
ML - B is still Amateur Eye. :)) I thought of cropping it intially but felt I should leave it the way I shot it.
O - I am aware of this and I am trying to find a solution to this issue. Anyways, thanks for letting me know.
BTW - My colleagues are fans of your voice. :)

This weekend, I was supposed to accompany a friend to a wedding out of town . There was some last minute change of plans and I stayed back.
Since it was real great day to be out, my friend and myself decided to head to the beaches at Coronado. The mercury was soaring slightly higher than we thought. So, we decided to get a drink at the Hotel Del Coronado. Thats when we witnessed this wedding.
I know what you are thinking... Wedding Crashers. No, No... we did not crash the wedding but stood and watched the couple exchange rings and their first kiss. Thats when my friend quipped "Looks like you had to witness a wedding today".
Yep!!! That was my destiny and hope the couple are destined to live happily... :)

I think he is gettin between them instead of doing his job there. - theworldofb said...
-
ML - Did you notice that he is even extending his hand to the bride? :))
O - Ty. Though I did not know the couple, I felt very happy the few minutes I was there. So I thought I will share the joy... ;) - .:: ROSH ::. said...

yea on a closer look what u said looks right!!
But i'm glad to notice the way they both have completely 'ignored' this guy in the middle whos standing there with an extended hand...lol..

Nice to see a panorama here. But i feel it'd look better if u could enlarge the same.
- theworldofb said...
-
ML - This is a photo stitch of 8 photos. So, I had to resize it to upload it.
The original version shows the way the golden color blends into the blue and the hot air balloons at the top right corner. - pk said...
-
Nice panaroma, would love to see the larger version.
- theworldofb said...
-
K- Ty. I have added the unedited version of the snap but guess Blogger still resizes the picture.
- theworldofb said...
-
Its a combination of rain water and sea wind. Though, I guess, the sea wind's contribution is more.

i guess most caves are created by erosion and some created by men during the war...
and the latter, is just my opinion LOL - theworldofb said...
-
unknown - Welcome!!!
This one is definitely not man made though looks like its "War of the Winds"... :)) - pk said...
-
Me thinks its more to do with erosion. Cool capture.
- .:: ROSH ::. said...
-
Nice shot B. Donno the tech details of caves so i'll leave it to the experts here ;)
- theworldofb said...
-
K,ML - Ty.
This is caused by erosion. At the lower levels the rocks get eroded by the waves. At higher levels by the wind and rain water. We had a good rain season last year and that added to cause. - theworldofb said...
-
O - Ty.
Real cave... LOL!!! See that what happens when you don't sleep and keep staring at sky in the night. ;)
When are you planning to upload the next song??

Ian - Its beautifully etched by nature. If I print this snap I will surely opt for 'Matte' finish. :)
K - Click here to learn more about this place. Its a great place and I am sure you would end up with so many great shots. :)
Thanks ML. Liked the pun. I wanted to get closer but the rocks were kinda slippery. With my sense of balance, I did not want to take a chance. :) - pk said...

Thanks for the link, looks like a cool place to visit. Never been to that part of CA yet.

B, ty for the link. Been to SD before but not to this place.

K,ML - This is one of the tidepools in SD. Be sure to visit this place when you are in SD next time. You might want to go there during low tide so you will have access to the rocks below. Click here for more pics from my visit to this place last year.

An all yellow flower, with flash?
Did u notice how it doesnt have a contrast in the center unlike all other flowers? - theworldofb said...
-
ML - Did not expect your comment so fast... :)) No flash used. Wherever possible I always use the natural light.
This flower was like the Self border saree. :))
It was amazing that along the edge of the cliff within a 100m stretch I found these yellow flowers and each one was a different kind. - pk said...
-
ML, that exactly what i noticed to at first too. I too like shooting in natural lighing. Self border saree LOL.
- .:: ROSH ::. said...
-
what is a 'self border saree'?
The place u visited sounds like a cool place to take pics. Would love to shoot flowerpics anytime. - theworldofb said...
-
K,ML - Since you both commented about the flash, I am wondering if the pic appears over exposed.
Self border saree - More related to the silk sarees where the body of the saree, the border and pallu are the same color. K- Am I right?? LOL...
Most of the pics I have posted are from my weekly hikes in and around San Diego. Watch out next week... - .:: ROSH ::. said...
-
thank for the explanation, sounds more like a 'plain' saree..
Just noticed the scrollin text...congrats on your 50th post, i gotta check mine now :D - pk said...

- theworldofb said...

ML - Ty. I see it the other way - Only some bandhans withstand inspite of the rust... :))
- pk said...

Both UR comments very though provoking. But this bhandhan feels more like a forced one. Nice capture btw.
- theworldofb said...

K - Ty. This bandhan was to enforce no one goes over the edge of the cliff. :))

K - I uploaded the color version of the pic also. I was trying to get one side of the tree along with those thin webs. Guess it did not turn out as well as I expected.
O - Ooooppsss!!! Tough question. Looks like I have to hunt for my organizer in this pile of whatever it is to find that out... :p - pk said...

- theworldofb said...
-
D,K,ML - Thanks for your comments.
D - Thanks for stopping by. I tried visiting your blog but looks like the link is broken.
K - The color of this flower will make its presence felt anywhere. :)
Regards the lighting, I found that its gotta do with the monitors. The picture appears normal in some of my machines and slightly dark in others. I will try to see how to resolve this. :)
ML - It definitely was part of an arrangement... the one done by Mother Nature... :))
This was found in the wild and after you mentioned I realized that the other flowers around it makes it look like part of a bouquet.
Regards yellow... hmmm... watch out throughout the week... ;) - theworldofb said...

BTW love your new layout. Making the pix size a little larger. - pk said...

Yeh B, may i know where U got this layout. Am looking for a new template too. I second what O said why dont U make is simple by putting previous and next buttons.
- theworldofb said...
-
K & O - Thanks for your feedback on the layout and the pic.
K - Yeah gotta agree about the background. Unfortunately this was the only angle I had access to it.
O - The flower did look like a peacock. Sad that I could not get a better shot.
hmmm... The new template is going to cost you some money... :p Juz kidding!!!
I created this template using the tags provided in the blogger site. If you are comfy with css and html tags you can do it or mail me at theworldofb@gmail.com. I can send you the code for this one. You can also check sites like haloscan and photoblog for other templates.
Many people complained about the navigation part. :(
Will fix it soon.

- theworldofb said...

K - Dunno what plant it is but it just reminds me of the tamil movie title "Mullum Malarum". :)
O - I guess it is the golden color that provides the beauty to this thorn/flower. Gotta agree on the strobe light bit. :)
Thanks for your feedback on the layout. I am still improving it.
BTW - Now that you both have become regulars here I am planning on blogrolling you.
